Monthly favourites – March
I wanted to start a new monthly series talking about some of the bits and bobs I’ve been using around the home, ranging from the mundane to the magnificent, the pretty to the practical. At the end of each month I’ll be doing a brief round up and although it’s already April here are my March favourites.
I picked theses beauties up on my last trip to IKEA, they weren’t on my shopping list (like most things you end up leaving with from that store) but they’ve added a lovely splash of colour to our kitchen and I think they look particularly gorgeous when filled with lemons!
As they’re from IKEA, they of course come at a bargain price 👌🏽
I’d been looking for some storage baskets to put all my cleaning and mircofibre cloths and stumbled upon these a couple of days ago in the Futon Company in Muswell Hill. I love woven baskets but they can be quite expensive which means you end up spending loads on something that is essentially just a storage container. You can get them online here but if you go to one of their branches they’re buy one get one half price.
This was one of those amazon purchases that could have gone two ways but I’m actually so happy with these. They’re not specifically designed for bananas they’re just you standard S hook or butchers hook. Bananas have a tendency to make everything around them ripen at double speed and they’re also happiest when hanging. We seem to go through a lot of bananas in our house and this way we can have as many as we want without having them filling every bowl in the kitchen.
